Hawk Mono - Anyone ever used it?

I was recommended Hawk mono as a decent quality mono. I think he said it was from Germany. Reasonable price, so i bought a 500mt spool of 20lb to try this weekend.

Has anyone ever used it? or even heard of it? Suppose I will find out tomorrow morning if the macs are about.....

I use Hawk tournament a fair bit along with Platypus pretest. I get 1000 m spools of it from the game fishing mail order place near Mooloolaba.

I reckon the stuff is top quality.

yep its good gear. I've been using 10lb on my light surf rig with good results. Has very good abrasion resistance around the rocks.
    cheers, roo

Sounds good to me. If its high quality like you say, the price then is quite reasonable

I started using it 28 years ago and never had any problems except trying to find a supplier at times.I've changed to braid now though.
