A limp rod !

I had a post many weeks ago on fishing plastics and a new combo. The shimano symetre was mentioned with a few rod combos

Have seen the same reel with a Shimano rod for $199, looks the goods but does have a commercial name on the rod (a SHIMMANO )

Would you take the name on the rod or look for something proven.

Mate generally on the rod itself it will have specifications from the factory, if these arent there then I would say that it is a dodgy custom job and might be worth steering clear of...
