maybe put up ur budget, might help us help u a bit better
my personal pick is the daiwa TD SOL in 2000-2500 (ur preferance) ur looking around the 280 mark tho
cheers
You could go a Shimano Symetre 1500 or 2500. The 2500 might balance that longer rod out better...
Bosie 10,
Depends on your budget and how much you want to spend. I've got two sp rods 6 feet and 7 feet and got a couple of Shimano Sonora 2500 FA's on them. Very pleased with the reels, nice smooth operation and reasonable drags. Also come with a spare spool and the ten year warranty. Ideal for 6lb braid. The sporting store that can't be mentioned currently have a Shimano sale on, they were originally $90 -$100 rrp, got mine for half price during the last sale they had. Definitely worth a look if you don't want to spend too much.

i have a 7ft 2-5kg (not a raider) and iv got a symmetre 1500 on here, balances out perfect, everything from bream to 70cm+ flatties and jack.
I have a 2-4kg 6ft6 berkley dropshot with a 1500 symetre and I am very happy with it.
Try a 1500 and 2000/2500 reel at your local tackle shop and choose what you feel balances best with your rod.
i have one with a 2500 dawia capricorn on it and its a great setup IMO fro bay plastic work.
there going pretty cheap to at the moment too..see capricorn thread.

i wuld be looking at 2000 - 2500 for that size rod

Have a look at the stradics. I am absolutely rapt with mine. I have one of each in the 1000 and 2500 sizes. My 2500 is matched to a rack raider and makes a great little combo.
im looking 2 spend only up 2 200 dollars
I've got my eye on a Symetre 1500 (about $120-$130) for my new 6'8" Rack Raider 3-5kg.
I'm currently using a Sedona 2000 (about $90-$100) which I'm borrowing from my brother. I think the Sedona no longer comes in the 2000 size. They're now 1500 and 2500.
I think you'd go close to getting a Stradic for $200. I think they come in 1000 and 2500.
Mate value for money you cant beat the good old STRADIC... i mean a reel as tough as that and for under $200 why choose any other...
Scott
You can pick up a stradic for around $170 if you look around and then you will still have money spare to spool it with 6lb fireling. All for under $200 is a bloody good deal.
