Jack Erskine has a reputation for fixing drags. search him on Ausfish, or try googling.

Five or so years ago Jack did have some washers that had to be kept very clean, and others that were less fussy. The design of my calcuttas does not inspire confidence on that point, but doubtless Jack has moved on to bigger and better things since then

One of the local tackle stores claims to be as good, and maybe they are; I'll find out shortly.

Truck hunter, PM dicko1980 as he has upgraded the drag washer on some of his reels and the reels of some of his mates. He says that he can do it much cheaper than erskine.

Hey truck_hunter, are these drags teflon lubricated? If so this fraying around the edges is not unusual I have worked on some very hard worked reels TLDs and Beastmasters and this did not seem to make any difference to the performance.

If they still work why replace ,just because they look stuffed,
Just because she is ugly dosnt mean she wont preform
