    make your own sp,s

I hope I dont get into trouble for this, but here I go.

Get some clear marine silastic, and some plaster
of paris, then get a 12v ingraver. Mix your plaster, then pore
into a mould, so you have a block the size of a rectangle, roughly 20cm long by 10 cm wide by 10 cm thick.
then get a thin blade saw and half the block in two, and sand the surfaces until both sides are dead flat.
Take your time in shaping the mould. Just do one haft and make a copy.

Once dry, use your ingraver to make the shape of the soft plastic you want. Spray paint both halves and wait till dry,and you will need to do this a few times. Then get your silican with your fingers and push it into both halves and make sure there are no bubbles.
Then put both halves together and wrap an elastic band around both ends tightly.
When silican has set, separate carefully, and there you have it, your very own home made soft plastic.
There are more details to it with adding colour and glitter, and i guess if you have gotten this far with the understanding of making them, you wont have a problem.
You can make simple worm soft plastics by getting the silican in a gun and just make some straight lines on a sheet of glade rap. When silican is still wet you can buy little eyes and just stick them on the front of them. It does work well and you can make thousands of them from one tube of silastic.

I use "Pro's Soft Bait Glue" to mix and match parts of baits together to make a new ones I like. Take the pinchers off of one and add to another and so on. Also, I used to pour my own soft plastics but it got so expensive to do I gave it up for the most part. I'll still do a few special requests from time to time and my secret killer color when I need it.

My new down time hobby is hand carving wooden baits. I only have two bodies completed so far, but I'm learning. I'll post some pics. whenever I get one finished.......if you promise not to laugh.

Yes mate, I dont think anyone makes their own lures much now days,
but I still enjoy it. If it save a dollar and it works well, then theres more money for other things.

and I wont laugh, cause some of mine didnt work out so well,
    but I kept at it.

I wouldn't laugh stumpy at least you are having a go. Everyone has to start somewhere and no-one is an expert straight away.

You might just make the next best sp that everyone has to have.
