    Min Kota Bow Mount problem

Hi Guys mounted by Bow mount 54inch bow mount on the weekend. Anyway was a bit concerned when I dropped the shaft down (vertial) so the motor is engaged and ready to go it has a bit of play or movement. Now the mounting bracket des not move and the movement is in the area where the shaft and little motor section is. I thought this was supposed to be rigid and really stiff. I have made sure the rubber sections aligh but it still wobbles around a bit. Is this suppose to happen???????

If its not brand new then it will certianly have some movement there. I can't remember how tight my dads was when he got it but it does wobble a bit now, mainly noticable when doing a sharp turn with a bit of speed it will clunk a tad.. You can get replacment rubber supports for them too though don't know how much this will stop it though.

    Cheers

    Brandon...

    Devocean,
I just got my 54"minn kota on a couple of weeks ago, and it does the same thing.
It clunks a little, but not that much i was worried about it.
It has to have some clearance to slide the main shaft thru the turning motor hollow shaft
