I don't have a clue which is 'best', but I've got a Raider Magnum mounted with a Shimano Curado (50 lb braid for barra) and a Raider Bass mounted with a Shimano Citica (10 lb braid) for bass, MJ etc.
Very similar in line rating,Therefore I'm assuming the casting weight range would also be very similar,And I would hope the two rods have been selected with your major target species in mind. The lenght of the two rods is extreamly different if I'm reading your original post correctly.
Physics maintain,A longer rod will allow you to attain more distance from a cast,But a shorter rod should allow you to be more accurate with your presentation.
The question you ask is very difficult to answer with limited knowledge on your intentions for this rod.(Barra in the sticks?Land based Jackin? etc, etc),And the way you are fishing for it (Boat,Wading or land based). Will your casting skills justify the ability a longer rod offers? If not,Go with accuracy.IMHO accuracy is more important the distance. No good casting 50 meters if ya 2 from the target.
A lot to answer.....Sit down and carefully ask your self these questions.Your answer should come to you with some thought.
