Certainly do mate some of my better fish have come before the sun comes up and after its gone down. Give it a go, i think you'll be pleasently surprised at how good they accually work in low or no light conditions.

I was a bit of a non-believer of sp's at night until recently, with success on my last few trips. My best tip would be to fish obvious structure (ie rock walls, pylons) where you know the fish will be, as opposed to more general locations (weed beds, sand banks).
Another good way to find them at night is to fish artificial light areas (ie lights off bridges, etc) - have found the line between the light and the shadow is often where the fish will be waiting.
