Hello all Ausfishers

Just scored a fishing combo today!!!! I got a Shimano symetre 2500 reel and a 7'2 shimano starlo stix squidgy spin rod, 2-4kg line weight.

Just want help in what type of line to get and will be used for sp's and lures, i hear braid is good??? and leaders as well. I hope to catch many fish so i can put some posts and pics in

I use 8lb fire line as a main and 8lb Berkley Vanish as leader, connected with an allbright knot.
Works for me for the flathead and doubles up for squire on softies, so should well and trully handle bream.
