a little birdy tells me that the Tuna are going off at hervy bay at the moment, so anyone that's enjoys the thrill of the big run might pay to wack a bit of fuel in the car/truck and shoot up there for a fun time

I'm just back from a week at Burrum Heads. I'm only a mug but caught a beatifull yellow fin (had to be 25 pounds - but we got him back in the water without weighing). Caught it in an area the locals call the drop off - about 1.5k approx from the last bouy out of the burrum. We'd caught a couple of spotties the day before with the water boiling all around us - but the next day saw a small plane fly low over the area, so I assume the pro's had the nets out. Never got another spottie all week!!

The Burrum area works well no doubt, have fished that whole system for many years when liveing in bundaberg.
have had some insane sessions around the mouthof that river.
it dosn't take the pro's long to wipe out a school that's for sure,when will the goverment learn.
altough i must stress that the rec- sector do there fair share as well.
there's only so much you can do with 30 spotties!!!
altough thay are great fun on fly!!! Yeeeeeee Haaaaaaa
