By the time I get around to Posting this Jack (Fisherman2)
will have fill the Board with his success.
Left Fisherman is (2 on board) Sat Lunch, wind around 10kts
seas under 1m (bit of chop outgoing tide) weather ok -was going to Mud but headed to Rous ch, Fished no 8/9 beacons
(rigs-floaters-bottom rigs and DR, strong current due new
moon (The new bombs Luke made for me worked great, the
little extra weight made the difference). Bait small squid-small
pillies and tailor fillets. Plenty of good tailor over the course
of the stay there, only small squire/parrots, but some decent
sweeties. kept Four ranging from 40 to 50cm, 1 lizard 53 &
some tailor around the 45 mark. Perfect condition overnite.
Headed back to Fisherman Is early Sunday to Pick up Jack
being a good smaritian ??? I invite him for a trip to Mud
Sunday. Dropped me mate off at the ramp and headed back
out to the Nth end of Mud. Winds picking up a bit. Let him ave
the run of the gear and taught him how Deckies are to look
after the Skippers . Had a great day, He could have
cartwheeled back to the ramp after the Lizard he boated.
His success was 1 Lizard/1 Very nice Parrot and a decent
Tailor and 1 bream, think he used 24 films on four fish, not to
mention the Grinners , he asked why we called them
grinners i told him to stick his finger in there mouth and
theyll make you grinn , Plenty of boats around with most
hiting the Cardinals on the Eastern side, mostly like looking
for a early run of Big Squire as no bird activity or Surface
activity. Anyway Jack hope you enjoyed the trip.
A couple of Mates fished Rainbow/Myora area Sat nite and
Sunday for squire/tailor, one caugh a Batfish that went 47cm
high by 49cm long. never seen one before, bloody Ugly
thing, will get him to post a pic.
The mackeral didnt show this weekend.

That folks is a Batfish. I've seen schools of hundreds of them in the bay - possibly some sort of spawning / gettin' it on thing. Seen them while I've been diving also.
