    Broadwater fishing

    Hi to all
Ok be for I start Nugget 8) well done on the tidal forecast if only the Weather man could be that good we would all have as much fun

Ok now the crawlings out of the way

Fished the Broadwater on Friday and Saturday Night an spoke to a few of the other boaties down there as well and we all had good catches of Bream, from 26cm to some going 40cm the biggest one that I caugth was 36cm good fish and some Tailor but first thing is first people the Tailor they are hitting very much like Bream so just don't think that there are Bream there because I lost some good Green backs on 1/0 hooks.
Fished the Deep Hole in the Broadwater Saturday Morning and there where some good fish caught with a lot of splashing going on the surface I at first thought Tailor but they were QUEEN FISH and from what I could see where some good size ones at that 8) so in went the lure but they just looked an kept to themselves (BUGGAR) good sport if you can get one
anyway the Bait used was good old pilly's, Slimmy mackeral fillets, hardie heads and they left the mullet flesh alone so that is the report for the Broadwater GOLD COAST from me till the next trip
Good fishing to all and to all a good fish
Keep those lines tight and the Rods bending 8)

Steve, where abouts around the Broadwater is the deep hole. I have not really fished much in that area. Also if you know any other good spots to try I would appreciate any information you migh have.

Dominator you will find the DEEP HOLE maked on MAP 67A in Brownies Beacon to Beacon Directory....another good spot to try at night time is a place called THE LOGS.....On this same page they are situated around the green beacon to the south of the yellow crossover beacon at the eastern entrance to the Grand Channel...(reference F 3.7)
When the water is clear the logs are visable.....sit in about 2 to 3 metres of water at high tide close to the middle bank.....BREAM ARE ON THERE NOW!!!
Good luck....make sure you take with you a few kilo of FRESH mullet.
    Cheers Brent
