    Baron Barwons 22nd

I hooked up the big rig and headed to Mooloolaba at 7pm Sat night. Neighbour in his 2150 Mustang followed.

Utilized the north ramp and tied to a pontoon at the Yatch Club for a good nights sleep.

3am saw the other crew arrive at the ramp. Off we go. Little lumpy with a soft easterly. 30k's an hour tops.

ran over the bait grounds ??? ran over Murphy's ??? ended up at the Southern End an hour later.

Talk about a desert. It has been some years since I travesed the bottom end of the Banks and now I know why.

Found a small patch of weed on a rise and boated, Red Emporer, Moari Cod, Rock Cod, Parrot, Moses Perch, Coral Bream, Coral Cod and some 34cms Pearlies ( a few days late eh ! )

They went off the bite as predicted in the Almanac. Searched north to the mid Barwons with no luck, only undersize Sweeties to show. Great bottom features but the schools of Fish I would normally find were nowhere to be found. ??? ???

Headed home at 1pm. Got a feed and put another 7 hours on the Honda

    Next trip......................Bunkers@1770
