Macquarie without Swano
The weather was fn hot and muggy.Perfect for chasing natives in the river down stream from dubbo.Got sucked into helping handicaped carpender with a concrete drive first. Now i know why i got out of the trade, ambo work is less stressfull and far easier.Got on the water at 5.30 pm.Got one hit winding in a 100mm stumpjumper[black-chart darts] as we reversed back to mates snagged lure, didn,t stay connected. My boy [william] landed a nice green fish on a trolled 80mm Feral catt lure[pink head-black an silver body].The fish was 59 cms, hit and pulled hard for a little lad. This fish was williams first cod[one happy boy]and two other anglers down in the dumps due to bet we had,we had to buy the angler that landed the first fish a paddle pop each.Just to rub salt in,he caught another on the same lure. The cod went 54cms,[released]and is nursing a sore mouth some where in the macquarie. We trolled till 830 pm for no more strikes.Took some photo,s will post them soon.Wish i had a digital camera.Have a merry christmas out in ausfish land
regards big george.
