took the kids to short island on saturday 13/1/03.one son who hadn't caught fish ever before landed his first fish a flathead 40cm with first cast.other son 38cm flathead 3rd cast.kids by the time we left 2.00pm (too windy) 6 flattie's, dad one well under size bream.these were all caught at anchor on the yabby banks using yabbies north of short where the canipia and (i think)cobby cobby passage split.

by the way there were a lot of nice whiting all over the yabbie banks but not one was caught,could this have something to do with the wind?
