Havn't been up there before John, First id heard of it till you guys let the secret out, all those pics make it hard to ignore.
So your going to give the leather a go If you havn't tried it yet, just have a fiddle.
Sometimes depending on the reel, it may be the leather washers being thicker than a standard washer will make it hard to get all the washers back into the drag housing, at the same time this will affect low drag settings, maybe briefly, while the washers pack down, not that that will bother you guys with your purpose, Only a very thin smear of the 0025 on the leather, and your away, By the way I do this with, abu, penn senators, calcutta, and keep the tracings of all different reel washers handy and cut a batch up at a time.

why did you show him the open timber photo.?? He will be in for a shock when he fish's in the tight stuff.
In one spot that swano and i fished.The timber /scrub was that thick you had to come out backwards just to change your mind.Not enough room to open a folding pocket knife. Hope i havn't given to much a way.
