Sunshine Coast this weekend
Hi all
Saturday was the pick this weekend, off and on breeze, light cloud cover. Decided chasing crabs was the go after a bit of a flush during the week. Maroochy fired well, 2-3 crabs per pot per pickup, rusty females, good numbers of bucks, annoying good numbers of 14cm bucks . Bream were on the chew as were the catfish....... >
Question; On tele Brownie showed the 'fresh' meeting the ocean at the mouth of the maroochy on Saturday night. When we came in, I counted 17 boats at the n northern entrance to the Black Bank, 3.30 in afternoon, well into the runout tide (high was noon), any ideas what they were chasing???
Roll on the rain, we need some and what a difference to the crabbing
cheers

Re: Sunshine Coast this weekend
Dreamdays usually where the fresh meets the salt you find the predator fish such as jew come in to feed on all the bait fish thats been flushed out of the rivers and creeks.
Might have been a school of trevally.
Cheers Brent
