    Mud.......doh !

Headed out to Manly b/ramp at midday Sat and beatled up to Mud.

    Wind 10 -15 E/ S/E.

Fished Western side in close and donged a couple of Sweeties. Got busted up on more than I boated.

Wind seemed to be out of the N/E later and the cloud build up from the North was not lookin good.

Gave Webby a bell and he was still at home due to family things. Poked me node around the S/E cnr about 6pm. 20 knots, white caps, 1.5 swell/ seas. Perfect.........in a little tinnie.

Pulled the pin and was going to give it a shot in the morning.

Up at 3.30 and down to Fishermens Island ramp. Wind was non exsistent on the way. 200 meters from the ramp the rain started bucketing down and the wind picked up to about 10 knots little less maybe.

I must be gettin old............saw the clouds in the distance, rain overhead and the Palm Trees swaying.........home I went.

Good thing is I didn't loose much bait or tackle, didn't use a lot of fuel, didn't get wet. I Rang Webby at 4am , but no response from the mobile. I didn't see ya 4be at the ramp either Brian ?

    There's always next time.

By the way, nice sandies Brent.

Missed each other by a few mins phil, when the rain started bucketing i was driving away from the ramp, had a fiddle around the passage and the river for 3 undersize sandies, jack scored a 9" squire in front of crab creek. bit of an eye opener. Wind was all over the place last night, and most boats that headed out the mouth were back very shortly.
    cheers.

Hi All, Wouldnt have seen the 4x4 mate trailer was on the back of my sons white falcon sedan, he just put a tow bar on it friday so though we'd see if she culd handle the rig. She did fine, finally got in the water around 8pm and met some good seas on the way across after talking to you, we had to stay on the western side till about 11 when the wind and seas abadated a bit then snuck around to the grazier, for 3 squire, gave you a call about 4.30 -5 but your ring thing was turn off and my battery was getting fairly low.
spoke to skales and stevedemon a few times during the night they were down top end of green with a fair collection of boats but dont know how they faired. otherwise a pretty ordinary trip, back home by 6.30 a little wet.
might have to use the falcon on a few more trips she zipped along nicely only trubs she didnt like the slippery ramp.
    regards

    Hi All
Skales and I fished the the N/E side of Green Island put in at Manly Boat Ramp about 9.30pm headed out to Green a bit choppy on the way out and real bumpy when we Anchored up started to feel like a milk shake at one stage but it was just nice to get on the water and do some fishing even though we only manage one Eels one 25cm Bream return to mum for next year (sorry guy's did'nt kiss it good bye) And Skales, one Eel and one Tailor 32cm, we lost a lot of gear but nothing to write home to mum about as it was very ordinary out there hopefully it will pick up with some more rain but will be Like L.P next time if the winds around the warm bed at home is looking better and just dream about the big ones that got away getting to old I think hope you all have better luck if your going fishing

    Cheers

We headed out to Mud on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Managaed 1 Sweetlip (37) and 1 squire (38) Saturday. I sweetlip (40) on Sunday. Got two legal muddies at a spot just off the end of the river. Caught a heap of Jennies also which was good to see, and they all had both claws attached. Maybe the message to leave them alone is starting to sink in!

    Cheers

    :P :o :PRe: Mud.......doh !

    Hi Guys,

Took my new Crab Pots out for a session Friday night at Fisherman's Island. Stayed all night and right through till late morning on Saturday .
Caught 6 'Ball tearer' Male Muddies and 10 keeper Sandies.
Had a couple of Beers at the Ramp with Jaybee and Wombat on the Friday evening.
It was quite a busy spot there with Cars and Boats coming and going all night. Also had a little chat to the Water Police at about 1.00 am .

    Cheers
    Craig.
