Good work Tony.
Had a look at Gatakers Bay the other week when I was up, and not sure where the reefs are.
I believe they are not far out ?
Launched the Tinny at Gatakers Bay around 11am to Fish the Run-out tide. Had heard there were Coral Trout being caught and as I have never caught one before decided to target them.
All up I caught 6 Coral Trout - 3 Just under the 38cm limit and 3 legal
Had a top day out despite the wind, and the new 15hp 4 Stroker Evinrude on the tinny was a treat (first outing with it)
I planned a repeat trip for yesterday but the wind cranked up to 20-25 knots so I stayed at home and tinkered on the tinny instead :-)
Cheers,
Tony

Hi Phill,
Not far out at all. I was probably out less than 200 metres.
Gatakers tends to be a good option here when the wind is up as it's fairly well sheltered - unless it's a northerly ;-)
If you like give me a yell next time you're up and I can show you - I'm no gun fisherman, however I tend to stumble my way onto the occaisional fish :-)
Cheers,
Tony
