Somerset Dam Report 16th march

Hi Folks....Today Jimmy, Shane and myself with 2 of shane,s mates took 2 boats to Somerset Dam to try our luck.......We trolled from 6-30 am until 5-30 pm for very few fish.....myself and Shane managed our first lure caught Yella's and 1 nice Bass and threw back 6 more small Bass.
Shane's mates(can,t remember names) caught several big Bass to 45 cms....They had the lucky boat today..lol
A glorious day to be on the water and we are already planning our next trip to this scenic dam.

Wait about a month and give Somerset a go,at the moment the water is dirty and the fish are very quite,it's has only been about 10 days since the Dam increased its capacity to about 50%,this has been more than enough to quiten thing down,Cheers and good fishin 2 u Whitto

Thanks for that tip Whitto...not too worried about catching heaps of fish today..was just great to get out there and enjoy the scenery.

Know what you mean Aquarius,I have allways considered catching Bass a bonus,just being on the Dam for a few hours is what it is all about for me,you seem to be in the general vacinity judging by your photos,prior to the water level increase we were catching Bass 50cm+and a lot of males as well as females all on sliders (pearl/baby bass),I doubt if I will be able to wait a month,I recon Ill be up there in a Fortnight,Cheers and goog fishing 2 u Whitto
