Fished the last 2 weekends at Greenhills , about 1 hr south of MAckay.

Plenty of fish about with Flathead and Salmon being the predominant species. Good Keeper sized Bream up to 36 cm, hard fighting Steelheads( from the herring family I think) and half a dozen Mackeral to 60cm also caught.

Captured a total of 15 flathead over 50 cm long with the biggest caught today on the top of the tide. It was 85 cm long and 24.5cm across the head.

All fish were released !!!

Interestingly , with the exception of 2 Flatties caught on lure, all others were hooked on herring, live or dead, didn't make a difference. Prawns, squid and live mullet did'nt get a touch.

Match the hatch I guess.
