Hasn't been much to report in the last month, the fish have been very patchy, and the weather seems to be pretty average when I'm ready for a fish.

The gutters have formed up nicely toward the Pt Cartright end. Caught 6 keepers (39-40cm) on Saturday night, only one greenback. Also got several choppers, which will be used for bait. My catch rate was about 1 in every 4 to 5. They were just picking, or or I'd feel is slack line, I'd end up winding fast, feel some weight, then give the rod a good yank. It was a real hit and miss method, but just were not taking the baits.

Towards the top of the tide changed to a slab of tailor onto two 7/0 marutos. The smaller buggers would not leave it alone long enough for anything decent. I ended up jagging one of those 39cm tailor through the eyes, ouch [smiley=confused.gif]

There were a few (very few) very good size sea bream pulled out as well.

Went down last night for a throw, it was blowing 15knots SE when I got there, then proceeded to blow harder as the sun went down. I gave it up when I had to use both hands to hold the rod out the front.

Overall I had a ball
