Just returned from 3 days camping and Fishing at the Northern end of Moreton Island.
Conditions were windy for most of the time, and combined with plenty of Swell it made the Ocean Beach unfishable.
We concentrated our efforts targetting Whiting along the North Western side of the Island.
The four of us in the party scratched around the Shallow gutters and drains between Tailor Bite and Yellow Patch for a feed of 35 average size Whiting. It was certainly a modest catch for this part of the world but fish are a bonus when visiting this magnificent place.
Heading back again in October for a week (23 - 29th). Might be a few "Lizards" about next time ???
Cheers Craig.
