Trip to Lady Musgrave

Just spent a week on Lady Musgrave.
Great place. Fish hard with little results
1x green jobfish
1x bonito
2 x unidentified see pic

Chuck poppers, trolled lures and skirts for hours.
Saw a few coral trout and big sweetlip when snorkelling.

Got 5kg of ocean king prawns from a parked trawller.
Drank far to much.
Every night there was approx 5-10 gigantic turtles bulldozering up the beach to lay eggs. Very cool. Will attach some pics if requested.

A beautifull part of the world. My mate had booked the whole island for 3 weeks. I doubt he will want to come home

I am heading up there this Saturday for a week myself and was planning to do exactly what you did...
Im hoping I do a little better then that though... Oh well a week away on an island catching no fish is still WAYYYYY better then workin....,.....

Did you see a big blue junk looking boat up there in the laggoon?

Too catch that many fish, you must not have had a bait in the water,

Sorry, but that place is alive with fish. Have spent a few weeks up there and only meters outside the Lagoon is Coral Trout heaven. N/E side.

Fairfax Island to the north supports a great fish habitat with Trout, Sweetlip, Red Throats and Hussar jumping into the boat trying to get ya bait. And that's to mention the Spanish Mackeral that pounce onto ya baits going down to the bottom dwellers.

Sorry didn't see any blue junk in the lagoon.
I didn't take any bait or bait collecting gear. Tried to fool them with the artifical variety.
I certainly not complaining as I had a cool time hanging about with my great mates!
