i would not have a clue why it is called a permit

Hi Charles, nice fish that, I called your spot somewhere on the northern side of the Cairns inlet by the mountains in the background, it's great to see the Barron producing fish for some people. Permit is just the snob value name some use for that fish, in Australia it is just a snub nosed dart and was just another bycatch fish untill a few years ago. Look forward to seeing some more of your posts, if you keep it up you will have caught more quality fish by the time your 16 then most have up until the age of 30. Go get em.nq
