    Where is the barwon river? These jungle perch were caught in tully gorge and rollingstone creek. Very fun fish to catch.

    Thanks Daintree. I was actually going to comment on the fish you caught last month at nassau river. Looks like some good fishing up there, the misses dad does a trip there every year, im thinking about tagging along one day.

    Ahh by the way i need to ask about the jungle perch in the daintree river. Ive heard they are meant to get quite large up stream eh.

    I think its one he caught at aplins about 87 cm i think.

    Sorry Tim, wasn't tracking this thread. Never actually specifically fished for JP's in the Daintree. I reckon some of the other waterways around the Douglas Shire are more easily accessable. I've fished a few for good results. I remember once when a mate and I were canoeing down the South Mossman and we'd caught a few before coming across a creek running dirty into the main stream. First cast Barra about 60 cm, second was another Barra also legal. We ended up getting three Barra one Minny Jack and either one or two JP's in the one section, great fun. I'll try scan some photos.
    The Nassau is worth a look. It's a long way away so I want to go back but I think I'm going up the cape next year (oops this year) instead.
