    OFFSHORE MORTON 24/1/04

Left Bribie ramp at 5.30am for a glassed out run up the passage and half way across the bay, then it hit shit weather and rough seas all the way to hutchies, not to mention the pouring rain. Conditions very very average, bottom fished for a while for a feed of snappery squire. Decided to pull lures down the the cape and scored a 12kg yellowfin tuna, also a solid barracuda. Left the cape at 1pm for a rough ride untill we got to the bay for a smooth run home. Was not the weather i was hoping for and sure was not the weathers forcast at 8.30 last night. Anyways was still a day out without the ladies.

    This Weather is unbelivable ,
By last night's forcast it should have been good outthere ?
On 4BC this morning just after 5 AM Nugget reported it was blowing 17 Knts at Cape Moreton . [smiley=wut.gif]
Now for tomorrow & Monday they forcast 20 Knts in the BaY before lunch .
I'll give Hutchies the flick tomorrow but will probably try the M8 Beacon early , I got 4 reasonable Schoolies there a fortnight ago & got busted up a few times .
If I get out I'll post a trip report & let you know how I go.
