goldie on saturday!

i fished the goldie with about 4 other boats from the brisso' sportsfishing club, it was your annual black marlin day out.
#with local hotshots john norling and mick claire leading the brisso' boys to the mecca of marlin- spot x (this is marked on all c-maps looks like this+ near the 2.5knot current note out about 25odd kays east sou east of the seaway!).
# #all our guys catch some fish and three boats had billies boat side john raising 4 and landing one and a dollie. # roy lane on spot x got a billie- a first for jimmy karytas, well done jimmy! congradulation. and myself with the very capable crew of davo' marsh and darryl lunde got a striped tuna fish!, davo' got a 17kg hoooo' and i chalk up another black' my first in a year and a half, also a big thanks to pete pakula for playing the ironning lady for me on the way back - save me some time flattening off the chop in the wake of "animal". #
# and a reminder to all keen fisho's that the coming months have some serious fishing comps(feb bisfc annual, march the bsfc annual and the surfers paradise game and sportfishing club annual at couran cove- this is a top comp not to be missed by big or small punter alike! its its second year and was huge last year and looks to be bigger again this year!), that can have a big effect on ones learning curve in the never ceases to amaze me world of fishing- be there or be square!

yeah good club trip mate. Actually 6 boats from our club were out there, including a 4.5 m Quintrex Breezeabout with outriggers which made it right out to the 42s despite the early slop. Good day out for most of us, including at least two 'firsts' that I know of. BTW...no I wasn't sick all day, despite your best encouragement.

you forgot to mention the sunshine coast game fishing clubs tournament next weekend, and the mooloolaba "BILLFISH BASH" the following weekend. sounds like i will have to plan a trip to goldie to get my first bill for the season >
