    Longtailed Whiting

Peter and i hit the seaway at 4pm, after a change of plan to fish the pin.
trolled the nth & sth walls for no returns.
Plenty of bird activity just befoe dusk, but couldnt connect to what every they were, neither culd anyone else.
bottom bashed both walls for a few bream and moses perch.
Wind was howling thru at 20kts or better, so retreated to the banks around wavebreak, and connected up to some of if not the biggest whiting i have seen.
the biggest went 40cm and a few other close behind, and they came on thin mullet strips.
left by 10.30 due to wind and rain.
    Four of the big suckers.
    regards

Nice Whiting. looks like they may have been flushed out of the Nerang with recent deluges. They look like they have those Nerang "shoulders" on them.

You hit the eight ball Davo, worm, yabbies or mullet, if you present your bait right and using the right hooks, you'll be susprised what any fish will take.
People are too afraid to experiment.
People laugh that i carry a bottle of superglue in my tackle box. , but that glue has help me land some nice fish.
