Peel and Wello

Hi there Ausfishers.......A mate and i did an overnighter to the hole in the wall at peel island.........Heaps of undersize squire just on dusk but as the night fell things shut down.........Only caught grinners, small undersize tailor and 2 sharks during the night.
We decided at 4-30 am to try our favourite spot at Wello but had no luck there either apart from one 600cm school mackerel
A dissapointing trip really as its close to new moon but maybe the northeast put the fish off the bite.
At least the weather was perfect so i suppose it sure is better than a day at work!!

Hi Adrian.......We did have some surface action while we were at Wello......cast to the schools several times but no takers this time.........It doesn't get much calmer than today out on the bay.
Theres always a next time .......in between seasons at present with water temp today of 24.7c......Thats still good for the pelagics but i'm looking forward to May when the water cools down and the snapper and big bream season should fire up.......heres hoping

Geez Brent,

Thanks for showing me what I missed today. It was supposed to be my day off, but had to go into work as we've got stocktake tomorrow. With days like that on the water, keepers are a bonus. Oh well, 6 more sleeps to the next day off.
