Got home from the motives and Decided to go at 12.30 am Sunday. Left from bribie at 4 am 8)
Great day on the water but the snappa were scare >
But then you have to take the bad with the good >
Hooked up three times to large fish but the line gave way at the hooks ???
So without a great debate I think I need to use a leader so
My question and yes I now it has been talked about before but just for me
What leader to buy (I am not one to spend a lot of money on tackle but losing fish is starting to pi# me off)
Leader I am looking for has to be flexible and strong in about 60lb class. ???

Anyone know about the trim and tilt on the outboard as one motor shit itself back at the ramp and not able to lift motor,, come around tomorrow Monday my L.D.O. It will be worth a fishing trip to tempest)
Pulled the wires out of the plug [no lights]

Dead battery on the winch
Winch wire snapped
And then the winch shit it self also.
Forgot to take some food so cut up a squire into every small slices
But that didn’t stay down every long.
I should have stayed HOME.

Had some problems with T&T myself on an old 135 hp Johno in the past.
The bloke from Caboolture Sea/Land Marine, I think his name is, helped me with fault finding and a kit.

For leader the old faithful schneider is good stuff and well priced for a decent sized spool too, I use 40 and 60 lb.

After reading your report I was sure there must have been a banana on board somewhere lol.
At least you got a feed mate.

Have had a fair bit to do with hydraulics in the past and with cylinders especialy. First thing i would be checking is the oil level which i am sure you have already done.
The next thing is the pump is it running? do you have pressure?
The only other thing after this is the cylinders, Not sure how many you have on your Yammy but i just checked ours and it has three. I doubt that all the cylinders would crap out at the same time.

anyway was haveinf trouble with the trim and tilt on one motor
i guess you fished caloundra wide and how did you go any pics ???

sorry to hear day wasnt so good. Saw the trailer at the ramp yesterday.
Fibre-glass and I went out the DT,and caught a few.(See my posting).
I would love to get out with you next weekend (Anzac Day Weekend) Saturday,Sunday,or Monday.
I have already some X-strong ganged hooks I've made up for you to try,and have some soft but strong leader that you can also try (Black Magic 60lb) Maybe this leader will suit you ?
Of course I am willing to pay my way as usual. I would love to be put onto some bigger snapper if possible
Surprisingly,the fish we caught yesterday,all seemed rather lethargic,with just a little fight at the beggining,one or 2 runs,and then just swam up as fast as i could wind.

i recently had prob with my relays..the motor would go up but not back down...
found out it was the relays...you can try this by swopping them around....

the problem was the brushes i think

any way couldnt undo the bolt behind the trim motor >
so i bashed it with a piece of wood > and put back together and was going to book the boat in for repairs when i tried the t & t and to my surprise the trim worked ???
so i have tried it about 30 times now and still working
so its off fishing tomorrow with fingers crossed
winch repaired corroded wire at a join
