    Offshore 1770 19/4

Finally got a break in the wind this week, first run out in about 4-5 weeks. Headed out at about 6am, light breeze with little swell. Went out to around about 8-9 mile spot. Fish showing all over the sounder. First fish up were tea leaf trevally, one after the other with the odd nannigai inbetween.
On 4 occasions we would be winding up what felt like a nannigai or similar, about 20 ft off the bottom something would grab the fish and power back down into the reef. Figured they must have been extra oversize cod or groper. Fought with one of the unseen ooglies for about 30 min before he managed to snap me off on 50lb braid. Got a few nice snapper,a grunter, moses perch, numerous small mouth nannigai, one large mouth nannigai, and about 10,000 (or it seemed like it!) tea leaf trevally to about 5 or 6kg!
    Another fantastic day out!

    Regards, Tony

    Snappa
Mainly get the big fellas during the winter months. Ive heard a heap of good reports just lately, quite a few around the 5-6kg mark, and a heap around 4kg.
Call in and see me and I'll give you some marks or come out for a run with you.

    Regards, Tony
