Gold Coast Macks
Gaday all.
today turned out to be a bloody pearla, weather gods where DON, ( is Good ) went wide first up out to the 100m line not a sausage, come back in close 36's first lots of little pickers,no hook ups.
in to the 24's boats everywhere, just like caravan park.
moved around alot for not much, moved to straight out from narrow neck in 35 to 40 m water another car park but with fish here. 8)
just drift fished with pillies and squid, for mixed bag of small squire, parrot, pearl perch, red rock cod, then fowl hooked yellow tail, he went straight out as a livie.it lasted about 5 minites, reel started screaming and after a good tussel 7.5Kg's of mack tuna was netted, i was a happy chappie, had 2 more major hookups 1 a small Cobia rapt me around anchor rope of boat next to me and bust up, next was big cod got it to see colour then the hooks pulled pisser. would have been better than mack tuna by long shot the rod was near bent double, i was swearing like a trooper, but you get that top day on the brinnie was ever 3.5 m tinnie out here, brave boys. here is a couple pics of the day,

G/day cloud nice mack tuna mate was hoping for one of the same or something worth keeping. You pulled up beside me at the north 24s today i gave you a wave and called you a couple of times on 27mg but you headed off soon after. Wish i had done the same stayed out there from 6.00 to 12.00 with a mixed bag of small squire red cod, parrot, and even a leather jacket ! Lots of grinners the size of dunny doors ! Hope to catch up next time ok.
