Yeppoon - Macks and Salmon in numbers

Excellent reports of fish in the local area.
Went fishing this morning. only managed to bring in 3 steelback salmon. lost about 5. guy next to me only got 2.
yesterday he caught 9 steelies, 1 mack and 1 blue salmon. This was at the point at The Bluff, Yeppoon

This afternoon i caught a nice 1.6kg blue salmon inside the harbour.

The guy at the Roslyn bay harbour servo said one guy this morning came in after another bag of pillies. he had already caught 20 macks by this time out at Porcupine Point (double heads)

Anywhere and everywhere there are fish.

My best advise to people is to get on the headlands at double heads with pilchards. or Lures, but try pillies first, always work best... to my luck. salmon are everywhere and baitfish are schooling in their masses.

Also been very good fish taken out of Cooraman Creek (emu park) heard of a 650mm grunter, cod, flathead. also whiting are around in numbers around the beaches.

I was up surfing at Farnbrough beach yesterday also and fish were just about jumping onto our boards.. i wish i had taken my rod up with me.

My advise for this weekend. NO EXCUSES. get out there and go fishing

i caught 8 blue salmon today. biggest reading 2.25kg and 2.2kg. total weight was 14kg.
average size of the smaller ones was 1.5kg+
