Left kawana ramp at 3.15 and headin for murphies. Pitch black and hardly a breath of wind with flat seas. Decided to fish murphies until first light then shoot out to the banks. Nailed 3 good snappery squire best going 3.4kg and 2 nice red throat sweetlip there. On first light we shot out to the banks in near perfect conditions. Nailed some good snappery squire out there with some good maori cod. Then all of a sudden we loaded up on extra extra large spoties, as we would bring one hooked one to the boat we would have at least 10 - 15 of his mates behide him. With a good feed of reefies we only decided to take 4 spoties best going just over 9kg, yep they were horses great fun great day.
Those damn mackeral never cease to amaze with their unpredictability huh. While guys are chasing them in the logical haunts the damn things show up out wide at the banks . Sure keeps you guessing . Goes to show you should always have a floater out .

I did get some pics but will have to wait for the film to be developed, have to work on getting a digi camera. I thought that was you seasaw, thats where we were getting the spooties right in line with that other tinnie out there. But we did see the shark, luckly.
