Square Patch

Fished the 33's, 35's and Square Patch on Saturday. Conditions were pretty good although there was a bit of swell out wider. No current to speak of though.

Didn't catch a lot but managed a few keepers. Bought home 1/2 a dozen pearlies and an AJ. Haven't got onto any decent snapper/squire yet this year. Heaps of undersized ones on the 33's though. Hopefully in afew weeks it will be firing.

At least you got a feed .
Its interesting to see the difference in the swell on the weekend .A number of posts have it rough off South passage bar , yet other posts up & down the coast Mooloolaba & the Seaway have glassy conditions . Wave Rider Boy at Pt Lookout had 2 to 2.5 meter swell showing all week end ?

The swell was pretty big once we got past Pt lookout. The photo attached shows it pretty well. From about the 33's back in it was a fair bit smaller. The bar was dead, we came back through the north channel at 25 knots.
