fraser comp
fished mainly the north gardners for as many red throat as you could count red empera to 9kg, cobia 3 ,, coral & corination trout, moses perch, husar, 4 spanish mac +heaps of other speces lot beter fishing this year than last good weather & condishons a bit rough on the last day we were the only ones on the n banks that day but was wort the effort

Sounds like a really good year. We did better in close last year than out at the Gardiners.
How many days were fishable this year? The first four were brilliant last year before it turned nasty. I think the fishing was slower last year because the 7 days before the comp were also fantastic and everyone who got there early were out giving the reefs a flogging.
What do you take up there to fish out of - and how many boats this year. I think 225 from memory in 2003.

bugman we fished every day the last two days blew a bit a good 20 knots on friday my boats haines hunter 620sf arealy stable boat to fish from i think there was about 250 boats arecod number just gets beter cant wait till next year
