    deep tempest friday

Hi all, went fishing out to deep tempest today, weather was lovely and the fishing while not red hot the sizes were great and plenty to satisfy anyone.
The sharks were a bit solid today giving a 4kg head back and taking the next 2 totally, bastards.
Had something huge on that was towing a 7.5mt plate around for about 15 minutes but 8ks of drag wore me and the patience out, probably only a big cod but it sure livened things up for a while,i'll post photo's when their e-mailed to me,cheers all no worries

Lucky you i went out at about 4pm and fished to about 7pm and got nothing. The wind blew up to about 15-18 knots in ten min's of been there. Then moved to the inside to get out of the wind{Bulwar drop off} and could not even loss a bait to a hair tail. Should off went to the pub instead.

Hi spiro,we pulled stumps at 4pm and you must have been the boat we passed coming out at the cape.
Shame about the wind as it was picture perfect when we left.
The fish were a bit cautious most of the day, hugging the bottom and you had to drop it on their heads ,caught a lot head and side hooked but for a few short periods they threw themselves on the boat and the average size is as good as i've seen it since 96,cheers no worries

    no_worries
Where you the white and blue plate boat? that we passed about 1-2 km from the cape. We fished the northen end, the drift was about 1/2 a km in 20 mins. There was also another member out there{comeing back} I reconize the yellow rod holders from a picture that has been put on the chat net. Do you leave from spinicka?.
