Thread: Fish Gods were Smiling

    Re: Fish Gods were Smiling

So much of the story left untold!! What of the skipper setting the chartplotter for cursor instead of waypoint and the mad dash to pull up the "budget blower" in 12 ft of water.

And yes - the mother in law was duly dispatched to the beloved in laws (along with a couple of trout.)....grumble grumble ....

Anyway, best day out in a long, long time... a few fish in the frezer and a couple in the tum. Just cant wait for the next time the weather and "she who must be obeyed" lets the fish gods smile again.

Great story Ron. Had me cacking!!

    Yours, old mate china

Your right so much left untold china, we won't say anything about how there was more of your claret on the floor than fish blood or how you banged your nose and back ( bloody accident prone deckies). But we won't say anything about that. The wind looks like it may drop below 15 knots for Saturday might haave to go and have a look around for some macks out around Pixie or was that Stagg or maybe it was Hope reef, dam chartplotter, I really must learn how to use this thing one day. hahahaha.
If any one wants to know how old mate china got his name check out the pic.
    Cheers Ron

Always with the photo - a bit unsportsmanlike to keep rubbin it in so hard 8)..... As for the claret well thats what happens when your blood is pumpin so hard from havin to yank the skippers anchor from 150 ft every time he misses the mark [smiley=bigcry.gif]..... yes, and as for the smacked noggin and broken back, you think most skips would ease up a bit on the stick when you reach down to get them a nice hot cup of tea on a chilly saturday morning in June. [smiley=angel.gif]

Pity about the weekend weather dropping (perhaps) it is a long way from the water where I'll be stoking up the fire at Undara. Ya just cant beat Australia for lifestyle can you. Great fishing one week, great camping the next, great beers to be drunk and great women to watch work. [smiley=whip.gif]I love a sunburnt country !! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
