I must admit when we had three in the esky we both thought about stopping and had to justify catching and keeping more. I am not a believer of filling the freezer and even when I go out whiting fishing I always limit my catch and when I have enough stop fishing. Now that I have whiting in the freezer there is no point in fishing for them, which is a shame as they're fun to catch. I wont be venturing out snapper fishing for a while either as I have enough to last a month or so.
I was once a member of a brisbane fishing club that was more concerned with catching kilos and kilos of fish each time they went out and not trying to preserve the fish. This is the same club that whinges that the areas they fished are'nt as productive as they once were.... hmmm think about it !!
Needless to say I am not a member no longer. As a mate of mine always says "bag you mates and not your limit".
Bay_Raider should change their name to Bum_Raider !!
I feel sorry for Bum_Raider (not that sorry though) as they never get out to fish and can only dream of catching something other than hep B from the local poofter at the pub.
The best thing is that Bum_Raider seems to have taken to the guy that I took fishing and not me !! Phew !!
