ok. another unsuccessful fishing trip.

on the bright side. snapperhead didn't catch any grinners this time . hehehehehe

we went out to one of the islands off Emu Park and there was just nothing around. Had 1 good run on a unweighted pilly but it didn't get hooked

after a few hours we went back up into coorooman creek and drifted for flatty.. i ended up catching 2 small sand flatty (very sandy colour, not dark) but through them back.

snapperhead caught the plug. well the anchor chain of some 50yr old snag anyway.

sorry to hear you didn;t have much luck. good to hear that no grinners came up. sounds like my fishing trips catch very little. better luck next time

yeah. well. it was somewhere new to try
and we had fun catching small pike on lures and jigs
bastads bit through our line at the swivel. bloody things.
well. 1 new jig lasted 3 fish. hahaha

Sounds like a case of wrong place, wrong time. The spottie macks are definately in Keppel Bay at the moment, its just finding them thats causing the problem. Sounds to me like u were out around Pelican Is, Wedge Is, Divided Is, Round Rock, Flat Rock. You needed to head further south to Girt Is & Quartz Rock. Few of my mates were there on Sunday and bagged out on Spotties in the 1st hour. I'm heading to Rocky this weekend and if the weather is any good I'll bring the boat up and check it out for myself.
