    giday all
talk about hard yards well did them on the w/end. left home friday afternoon at 5.00pm to catch 6.10 low tide . hit beach at 2nd cutting bogged in track ,don`t let air out till hit beach, let down tyres & on our way again. got to cerry venture & very little beach left, could not get my run up as normal got a bout 2/3rds to the boards & bogged to the s$#t house, about 2hours latter after digging & digging & digging some more car & boat above the high water mark were we can have a beer & rest after the work. plan was have a kip & get though about 4.00 in the morning when there was more hard sand to get run-up. well on 2rd beer another boat getts bogger in track, reverses back to get another run up & gets well & truly bogged below the high water , well its more digging & towing till here is above the high water. in to the sack 2 hours latter we take turns getting our boats to the hard sand were with a run up we are over with ease. i reacon we hitched & unhitched boat about 20 times in that time. hit beach exhausted after a feed no dinner last nite to busy digging. boat goes & off to fish. ended out out the 65 km area geting a few fish but very slow , pulled a good aj then just what ever was down there we could not stop then so with the sun go in 2 hours we decided to had in to try for some snappa. anchor up & start to pull a few good fish, then there went off the bite, pulled anchor & moved in closer , could not see 2 foot in front of me preety slow trip. droppedthe pick but nothing but pickers, bugger this a feed & time for a well earned kip. by this time wind was blowing a good 20 knts, trying to sleep but very hard , then gps starts beeping up i get hoping anchor will grab , let more rope out, no drift 2 kms. start motor pull anchor & head for the bay for some sleep, its a long way in the pitchblack. finally get some sleep. in the morning fished in close then got the morning low tide home. it was a preety slow trip but ended up with aj, snappa, pearlies, parrot. trip home was unevertful except the headon we nearly had with f250 on the track home. lee

i usually have the camera in hand ????
    gee lee
here i am getting the trailer modified so as to tow the cat up the beach ... i might have to do a rethink,, what kind of trouble would i have been in with the cat at the blow...you said you un hitched at least 20 times .. the cat would be still there
bugga .. fishing at tempest was to say the least "hopeless"??
6 trips now and the average cost per fish to date around $110 each
firetruck if you still want the rod and reel ....

    Gees lee !
Bet you'd be able to back up on a tow ball with your eyes closed! [smiley=drunk.gif]
Seems like everyone had their fair share of dramas though.

Havn't had a good look at the Fishermans chanel yet smithy,
but with those westerlies she was pretty flat on the way in on sunday.
and could see a boat coming through that way.
If you could send us a couple of waypoints for both sides of the chanel that'd be great.
