Too windy? Nah :-)
While all you offshore guys get frustrated about the wind and lack of fishing I decided to make the best of a bad fishing weekend.
Went to the local estuaries for a cast of the SP's and here are some of the photos I took.
The one and only fish landed in 2 hours was caught at the location in the last photo.

Nothing more fun thn a flattie on sp's! Where are you fishing from? Are you Brisbane based? southside? (your pics look like a little creek I often put the canoe in when its blowing too hard to get the boat out!!)
Lawry

Re: Too windy? Nah :-)
Fishing down in newcastle Lawry. nice little creek to get out of the wind a bit. has bream, whiting, mullet, flatties and the odd tailor on season.
The only problem is there was a lead smelter operating in the area for 80 odd years so i am not too keen on keeping any of the fish.
Good area to practice SP work though

Great place to catch, but not eat the fish, eh? Used to spend a fair bit of time in and around N'castle, Kooragang Is. etc.! Lovely plumes!!

This is Cockle Creek at the top end of Lake Macquarie. has the pasminco lead smelter near it at booragal but is closed down now for about a year ago. Still don't trust those waters though :-)
