    Family Day at the Reef

With an early start to the day at about 3:30am.(wife and kids not as keen to get out of bed as I was) But with abit of encouragement we were out the door and heading to the ramp just after 4:30am. Arrived at the ramp at 5am and met up the some friends that were following us out for the day. The trip out was a little slower than planned due to the stiff southerly land breeze blowing. ( friends boat is a big quintrex, dam things don't travel very well in a choppy sea. Sooo glad I don't own 1 any more ) Arrived at the spot at around 7:30am, dropped the pick over and started fishing pronto. The fishing was rather slow and the current that usually runs to the south at about 5 knots was nonexistent ??? ??? anyway fishing was slow for the day but the weather was fantastic, by midmorning the sea just glassed out. The perfect weather for a family day out. Even with the fishing slow for the day a reasonable feed was still taken home. Bag for the day was 9 Coral Trout, 1 Rosey Jobfish and 1 Green Jobfish. Here's some pics
