    Kris,

We actually went to Boat Rock for the livies this time round - first time I'd really looked there - usually look around Shag. Rob (mackmauler) had been getting some there but we couldn't find any scad or slimies - just goatfish. We were there 30 mins or so which meant we must have just missed you. I wanted to try in closer to the point but we just ran out of time looking in other places.

Chris, fair dinkum if my misses had as many buttons as my boat I'd never get her top off

Yep, top day out thanks Brett, thoroughly enjoyed it 8).

I was getting a bit excited when the procession of perlies were coming over the side, I remember babbling about bag limits, then sure enough I put the mocker on them and they went off the bite

Miles of ground to be explored out there wide of Point Lookout, although I suspect we were close to the "Right" area with the Gold Coast Charter boats making the long run to fish beside us.

Weighed the solid pearlie when I got home, a bit under 3kg's on mum's kitchen scales

The Whale encounter on the way home was special stuff. A monster Whale tale towering in front of the bow put the WOW factor through both Brett and I

Starting to enjoy this offshore fishing, anyone want to swap a 625 outsider (cruise craft) for my Cyclone 540

    Cheers
    Craigie.
