1st fish on SP. Happy and sad

Yes well it finally happened, sunday morning picked myself up some 4lb fireline, spooled up my reel, and then sunday arvo bout an hour before picking the missus up from work thought ide quickly go and throw a couple of plastics in the pine river, knew the tide would be wrong however was keen 8). The new line increased casting distance dramatically, and all round just created a much better feel. Three casts in boom, pick up a pike 35cm, not a prize fish i know but my first on the sp's and i was stoked, good bait too . Rest of the session was pretty uneventful few snags, couple of hits, tide running out fast.

Now to the sad part, was fishing under the highway bridge in the pine river, and up along the open stretch next to it. Fished there a few times before and noticed a fair few bottles an stuff lying around, pissed me off a little bit. This time however there were a few people down there when i arrived drinking beer just relaxing like you do when your fishing, then half hour later when i cover the ground where they were again half empty squid packets, empty bottles, smoke packets, i was really dissapointed. (wont mention what i was thinking about doing to them with my fishing knife and a hunk of timber lying nearby had i caught them), . Anyways yep noticed a lot of rubbish around this day, even found a garbage bag left there full of bottles and rubbish, that was torn and all over the place. I mean full points for whoever took the bag down there wish they could have taken it with them. Anyways im going to head down there with some gloves and garbage bags and give the joint a going over, just wish w@#nker yobbos could get a bit of common sense about them ???.

Cheers guys, glad to see it bothers alot of other people too. Im no greenie either but jeez it makes me fire up, just plain laziness, ide put it on a par with taking undersize fish, just as destructive to the land and land based animals.

Talking about greenies, i saw it was a topic in the other posts. When driving a while back, this other car had a sticker on it that read "the only true wilderness is between a greenies ears", had to have a chuckle to myself when i read this cause i could understand it in some cases. Nothing against greenies but, someones got to fight for the cause, even if a bit over the top sometimes.

ANyways keep fishing and lookin after this beautiful country.
