well what a trip went out with aquacat from cairns. the trip out to the reef was very long but we eventually got there and began bringing up the fish. first drop 1 guy caught a 3kg spangled emperor. after about 5 minutes a 17lb large mouth nannygai broke the surface. the right side caught lots of fish and quickly got a feed. apart form 1 spotted mackeral the left side (my side) was still yet to leave the rank. 2nd spot and more fish came on board on the right side. the guy next to be had 3 bannanas on board we told him why it is bad to have them on board and so he disposed of them. after he got rid of them we began to pull up some fish. we were in 20m of water and were onto some good coral trout 11 keepers came up in about 30 minutes. numerous spangled and long nosed emperors came aboard as well as a 65cm red emperor. overall a lot of good fish were caught and a lot of happy customers left the boat. my personal catch was 1 coral trout, 1 spangled emperor, 1 long nosed emperor and 1 sweetlip.
later on i went snorkling around green island i wish it wasn;t a green zone. at one spot there were 2 trevally over 1m long swiming next to me. out wider at green island there were a few coral trout first word i though of was "YUM". as we were leaving green island they fed the turrums. there were about 15 large turrums between .75 and 1m in length i would have loved to of thrown a popper through there.
nice haul of fish phil, some good trout in there. where abouts do you go fishing up at noosa?? i do a fair bit of fishing up there at christmas and easter time when the macks are around. there's some good fish up there to be caught.

If you camp at Munna Pt every Christmas you would have seen a 620 Haines Hunter Warrior called "Flatline". That would be Owen Hancox, Club Captain of the SCGFC. His brother Gav might have been there as well - his boat is "Slack Attack" a little cat and he is gavsgonefishing from this site.
yeah the boys from flatline camp down the front on the river don't they?? i know the boat and i think i've met them before. i've only got a 4.1m dory which i take out on a good day but i usually am deckie for a few other boats in the park. bloody top spot up there...
