michael, amity was good but we crossed when the tide had peaked, does it get any better...the way the water moves around that area as the tides change makes it a different bar all the time, basically the same but never the same is about right. at low the extent of the bank was clear and by reading the water a couple of shortcuts could be taken with ample depth for smaller rigs.
red i think another ausfisher is doing the course that day.
Looked like a great day out on the water Rob.
Pitty about the current being so strong.
Few in the bag as usual.
Cheers Kev.
Nice one Rob ....

i am gonna be heading out as soon as i get some time off .
dying to get amongst it !
Geez Rob, another good day! Or have you simply been honing your skills with that Photoshop thingy ;-)
Seriously, I'll have to get out there with you one day, these vermin are becoming a nuisance.
cheers
kev
Mackmauler do you know which ausfish member doing the course on same day as me
Looks like a good day out there Rob... good to see a few more yellowfin over the side of the boat to.
hey redspeckle
i am doing the bar crossing course on sunday the 24th october. im really looking forward to it. from what bill was telling me it is a really great day and you learn heaps. hope the weather plays the part for you.
cheers phil
Bring on the Marlin!!!
Look on the bright side, the worse the weather the more you will learn.![]()
U got that right SeaHunt.
The day I did mine it would of blown a dog off his lead, but what a learning curve. Bill's a good bloke you'll learn heaps, and be in safe hands. (no matter what the conditions are)
BTW, that Cruisey isn't a bad boat too, I'd almost swap my Haines for it![]()
Cheers,
