Re: They're on the Move!!!
Left pots hidden in the water since thursday afternoons trip. Went back early Sat morning & WOOHOO!!!!!!!!! a dozen crabs in the first 4 pots checked. Pity only 1 was a keeper. But at least it showed is possible to leave pots in the water if you hide them. 8)

Re: They're on the Move!!!
Many people sink pots y-not but really its illegal, if you do, make sure its in plenty of water because ive hit them plenty of times flying along flat out, and its not good for the motor, ( or the pot ) if the pot survives i jump up and down on it and throw it up the bank. But in saying that im guilty of sinking the odd pot as well (not xxxx) enjoy the feed mate...foxy

Re: They're on the Move!!!
its not illegal as long as the pot is clearly marked with your nameand address.

Re: They're on the Move!!!
Glad you southern boys have been getting a few. Makes me a bit jealous though considering i'm up here in CQ, what is said to be the crabbing mecca and spent 2 days down the Fizroy River closer to Port Alma and out of 12 pots not 1 bloody keeper . I got my 1st 3 for the season a few weeks ago and that was enough of a taste to get me overcome with muddie fever. I am now a man possessed and will not rest until i sit down to a icey cold beer and a big plate of fresh muddies.
Cheers
