Managed to get out this Sunday and catch a few trout. The 3 of us caught 15 in all, should have been more but lost some beauties which dented the pride somewhat. The three Mackeral rounded the day off nicely.
Cheers, Mark.
looking at the pics GREAT CATCH
but i'm interested in the shade at back "canopy"
thinking about putting one on the cat...
q.. can you tell me of any short commings it may have and if you did it again would you changed the design to suit ?????
striking at the fish is my main concern..????
regards snappa
We basically let the fish hook themselves with Mackeral floaters most of the time. It does get in the road (this was my uncle's boat but ours is similar) a little but you can manage with typical reef outfits. Our boat has more room to manoeuvre about and is fine. You just have to be careful if you need to swap sides which is what I had to do with the Spanish and in this boat it was a pain. If doing it again I'd try to make only one bar at the back to make the rod swapping easier, if it was strong enough.
Hope this makes sense mate.
Cheers, Mark.
